Planning a wedding means managing dozens of decisions across vendors, venues, and timelines, often all at once. The couples who find the process most manageable tend to have one thing in common: they booked a single property that handles both the ceremony and the reception.
The venue combines ceremony and reception planning by hosting both on one property, using separate outdoor ceremony and barn reception spaces, and supporting the full timeline with staff coordination, rehearsal time, cocktail hour, food service, bar setup, rentals, vendor referrals, and an online planning portal for booked couples.
At Meredith Manor in Pottstown, PA, that is exactly how we are set up. Our ceremony and reception spaces are on the same property. Our staff helps direct guests and coordinate the bridal party, while our venue team supports the flow from ceremony to reception, and our packages are built so you know what is covered from the rehearsal hour through the last dance.
One Property, Two Distinct Spaces, A Smoother Wedding Day
When your ceremony and reception happen in different locations, you’re managing two timelines, two vendor call sheets, and two sets of unknowns. Hosting everything here removes that layer entirely.
The Ceremony Space
Our outdoor garden ceremony site is set beneath century-old oak trees, surrounded by landscaped grounds that took decades to grow into what they are today. The white arbor entrance and white gazebos with icicle lights give the space its structure. Complete silk floral decorations dress the gazebo and aisle, and white rose and crisscross-patterned chairs line a white aisle runner over a natural-looking lawn surface. Evening uplighting highlights the oak trees as the light shifts, which matters if your ceremony runs into early evening.
Your package includes a one-hour rehearsal, a three-hour early arrival window on the wedding day, and the ceremony hour itself. That timeline gives your bridal party time to settle, and our staff is there to direct guests and coordinate the bridal party, so you’re not relying on family volunteers to keep things moving.
The Reception: Country Barn
After your ceremony, guests move to the Country Barn, which accommodates between 80 and 300 guests. The towering ceilings and dramatic wooden beams define the space visually. Custom bars are part of the Country Barn setup, helping the room feel complete and ready for the reception.
We host only one event per day. Because Meredith Manor hosts only one event per day, your celebration receives the team’s focused attention throughout the event.
The Transition: A Private Cocktail Hour
While your photographer is working with you and your partner, your guests move to the cocktail hour. Booked with our ceremony package, your bridal party receives a private cocktail and hors d’oeuvre hour in the Historic Barn with a dedicated attendant.
That’s not a detail most couples think to ask about, but it matters. Your immediate family and wedding party have a quieter space to gather before joining the reception, instead of waiting in a hallway or crowding the bar.
Food and Beverage: What’s Included
Our reception package covers a five-hour event with substantial food service built in. Cocktail hour includes your choice of eight hors d’oeuvres, buffet style, from a list that spans standard hot and cold selections and gourmet options like mini lump crab cakes or shrimp LeJon. After cocktail hour, guests are seated for a fresh fruit or soup course, a salad course, and table-served main entrées. You choose two entrées from our menu, along with one vegetable and one starch. Rolls and butter are preset. Wedding cake cutting, serving, and wrapping is handled by our team.
The full non alcoholic bar setup is included, with glassware, condiments, and cocktail napkins. You provide your own alcoholic beverages, and we arrange professional bartenders at a ratio of one per 100 guests. The bar service is structured, not informal: it closes 30 minutes before the event ends and converts to non-disposable melamine drinkware for that final window.
China, flatware, and glassware are set at every table. You choose from more than 40 linen colors for tables and napkins. Linen-covered tables for the place cards, DJ, cake, and gifts are included, so the room looks finished without extra rental costs.
Conclusion
Every booked couple receives access to a personalized online portal to manage vendors, menu selections, timelines, and communication with our team. We also offer vendor referrals across categories, including photographers, videographers, DJs, live music, transportation, and lodging. Booked clients are also invited to “An Evening of Dining,” held on select Wednesdays throughout the year, where you sample the actual hors d’oeuvres, entrées, and desserts before finalizing your menu.
